Full Story
KDGSS delivered a dominant performance from start to finish, defeating Assault 94–46 in a one-sided contest at Elevate Sports Performance. From the opening quarter, KDGSS established control and steadily widened the gap, never allowing Assault to find consistent rhythm on offense.
Fast start sets the tone
KDGSS came out aggressively in the first quarter, pushing the pace and attacking the basket to build an early advantage. Their defensive pressure limited Assault’s scoring opportunities, and the opening period ended with KDGSS in front 19–11.
The gap widened significantly in the second quarter as KDGSS found their shooting touch. They poured in 28 points during the period, combining fast-break finishes with outside shooting to stretch the lead. Assault struggled to keep up with the tempo and managed only 12 points, sending KDGSS into halftime with a comfortable 47–23 advantage.
Any hopes of a comeback were effectively ended in the third quarter. KDGSS maintained their defensive intensity while continuing to score efficiently, adding another 29 points. Assault, unable to solve the pressure or generate consistent offense, were limited to just 11 points in the period. By the end of the third, the lead had ballooned to more than 40 points.

Controlled finish in the final period
With the outcome largely decided, the fourth quarter saw KDGSS manage the game while maintaining their lead. Both teams rotated players, but KDGSS still outscored Assault 18–12 to close out the contest and secure the 48-point victory.
Liew Zi Jian led all scorers with an impressive 24-point performance, providing consistent offense throughout the game. He was supported by multiple teammates who contributed across the board, allowing KDGSS to maintain scoring pressure in every quarter.
For Assault, individual efforts showed flashes of promise, but the team struggled to match KDGSS’s pace and efficiency over four quarters.
Statistical edge across the board
KDGSS held clear advantages in several key areas. They dominated from beyond the arc, knocking down 9 three-pointers compared to Assault’s 2. Their free-throw shooting also proved decisive, converting 15 attempts while Assault managed only 2. Combined with strong overall shooting and consistent defense, these advantages translated into the final 94–46 scoreline.
In the end, KDGSS’s fast start, balanced scoring, and defensive intensity proved too much for Assault, resulting in a convincing victory.
