## A Masterclass in Offense The CBLx 2026 tournament witnessed a statement performance this Saturday at Cross Court, Shah Alam, as GOM dismantled Soulspeed with a staggering 112-57 victory. From the opening tip, GOM established a relentless pace that left the home side scrambling. A blistering 38-10 first quarter set the tone for the afternoon, effectively neutralizing any hope of a competitive contest early on. While Soulspeed managed to settle into a rhythm in the second quarter, matching GOM point-for-point at 13-13, the defensive intensity from the visitors proved too much to overcome in the long run. ## Leading the Charge Leading the scoring clinic for GOM was Teoh Teck Seong, who tallied 20 points and 5 rebounds, orchestrating the offense with precision. He was bolstered by Edmund Augustin, who added 18 points and 7 rebounds, and veteran presence Guganeswaran Batumalai, whose near triple-double effort of 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists showcased the team's depth and playmaking ability. Their collective efficiency forced Soulspeed into difficult shooting positions, allowing GOM to pull away decisively in the second half. ## Looking Ahead Despite the lopsided scoreline, Soulspeed found some individual positives to build upon. Jeerasak Jannaranurak fought hard to lead his team with 15 points and 5 rebounds, while Mohd Arif Zaini and Fidzri Fellani Bin Jamahari chipped in with double-digit efforts. However, the sheer offensive firepower and rebounding advantage held by GOM ultimately determined the outcome of this CBLx clash. GOM walks away from Shah Alam having cemented their status as a team to watch, while Soulspeed will need to regroup and shore up their perimeter defense before their next matchup.
